In weather below freezing my truck won't shift into (or out of) 4WD. Anyone seen this before or have any ideas? I had this problem last winter and the problem has come back since the weather has become colder.

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the suggestion! Where are those actuators located?

Mine ended up being a bad ground connection on the front diff sensor.

Found out because replacing to a new sensor didn't fix it.

If you download the service manual, it shows you how to check and troubleshoot the 4x4 engagement.

Look for the Transfer (case) section. It's listed as section VF2BM. It's all there, starting at page TF-1.
