I have an 05 TRD Off Road double cab, short bed. It's at stock height now and I'm looking to just lift it a little bit, no more than 3 inches and level it out. Now I've looked online for a few lift kits and they all say that they won't fit the Off road edition. Does anybody know why and also could somebody let me know what I need to be looking for? Or possibly tag me in a different thread that might have the right answer?

Basically I'm trying to figure out why I can't use a basic spacer lift with the Off Road TRD. Where as it looks like the rest of the tacomas can use them

I had a 5 lug that I put a fat bobs lift on. The truck had a strut assembly that I took off, put a spacer above the strut and put it back on, giving the truck a couple inches lift. I'm not sure what the difference is between the 2 trucks and I don't want to buy the wrong lift kit. And furthermore I don't want to jump into taking the suspension off and have the spring launch off or break something.
