Does the light blink when it's not engaged? Or is it like the locker and only lights up when it's engaged?

are you stopping and putting the truck in neutral (automatic) before engaging 4 lo?

Yea (automatic) I've tried that.. But maybe I didn't wait long enough or roll a bit.. I guess my main question is how does the indicator light work after the locker mod?

I haven't done the mod, but the way I go into 4Lo..

Stop, put the truck in neutral, put the selector in 4Lo, wait until it engages and stops flashing (2 seconds or so), put the truck back in drive and off I go!

Ok found the problem.. After cutting the wrong blue wire it fried a diode in the selector switch.. Went to radio shack got new one soldered it in and good to go!
