Wow great build. I just read through the entire thing in the last few evenings. It was interesting to see your truck come together in what was several years for you and a few hours for me.. Not to mention watching your life through the forum; your daughter grow up, your move to California, buying a house, etc... Thanks for the entertainment.

Just have a couple questions about the truck if you don't mind. I'm looking ato buying a 2012 double cab long bed and I'm wondering how you have liked the length of the truck. Any problems with meneverability, on and off road? Do you ever wish you had a short bed?

Do you ever regret the TRD exhaust and Cold air intake. The truck I'm looking at has both. Seems like the wife will know every time I accerlerate a little hard.

How's the child car seat situation.. I have a 3 month old that I need to be able to accommodate for the next 18 or more years.

Hope California is treating you and the family well..

Thanks man . There have only been maybe 2 or 3 times on really tight trails that having the long bed as made it a little harder to turn. But, I definitely love having the long bed. It just makes life a lot easier to have that extra bit of length when it comes time to load up the bed with gear.
So far it hasn't been to bad with the car seat, there is plenty of room for either the front or rear facing seat. Although if you have the car seat and still try to fit 2 more other people in the back seat it's a little snug. But if you only plan on having one kid it's not that bad at all.
As far as the CAI and exhaust goes, you can I'll definitely tell when's he truck is accelerating. In my opinion it is worth it though to have the extra little bit of power that they give you when it comes to turning bigger tires, towing or just trying to merge onto the highway.
Good luck with the decision.

Did my first over 100k oil change today as well as changed my diff oils. Everything still looked good and the diff oils were still really clean. which I'm really happy with after all the towing from Alaska and driving hard under heavy loads since the last time I serviced the diffs. Still need to do a trans flush to complete my 100k maintenance.

Well guys I got someone coming tomorrow to buy my truck. Bitter sweet really, considering this was the first truck I bought by myself. But, I will be going to a full size diesel.

Here is what I will be going to. 2005 Chevy 2005 with a LLY Duramax, Allison trans, 4wd and the short bed that I wanted with 150k miles on it. It's got some brand of 3" lift with brand new bilstein 5100s, BFGs on ProComp wheels. I will be starting a new build so please follow along. Have some mods planned already but nothing too crazy.
