Hi, I have looked through the forums and have read many of the posts...and nightmares regarding the knock sensors. However, I have not seen anything Similar to my situation.

Truck through a check engine light and started acting as though it was stuck in 4th gear (automatic). That is the only symptom the truck has. Checked codes and only code was P0333 knock sensor bank 2. Just to be sure, took it to mechanic who did a complete scan. There were no transmission related codes and only code was the same. The truck is not knocking, no loss of power and does not go into safe mode.

The weird part. It only seems to act up while the truck is cold or has been sitting. Once it warms up, you can turn it off and start it and the light goes away and the truck drives problem free.

Is there anything else that could be causing the truck to throw a knock sensor code and not be a knock sensor?! It just doesn't make sense that it isn't a consistent issue if it was a faulty sensor or harness and the only symptom is the transmission. Thanks for any help.
