06 Tacoma TRD 2wd has a front and rear differential?

    06 Tacoma Pre-Runner 2wd Quad Cab short bed
    Fiberglass shell
    I'm due to change out the fluid on the rear differential of my 06 Tacoma Quad Cab 2wd TRD off road with the 4.0 V6 Automatic.

    Did I missread on TW forum there is a front differential that I should also have done?
    If so, what would be the purpose of a front differential on a 2WD?

    If your window sticker says 2WD then you have rear differential which what @whatstcp says. If sticker says 4x4, then you have both front and rear diffs.
