06 Timing Belt

    Do you guys know if the V6 Tacos use timing belt or chain? And when is the recommended service for it?

    really??? I just called 3 dealerships service dept. and two said it has timing chain and one said belt....kinda confused?

    Color matched door handles, Weathertech floor liners, bed mat, Durafit seat covers, tailgate clamp, 2016 TRD Sport 17" wheels with Toyo A30 tires, Toyota exhaust tip, Toyota/Yakima bike rail mount, Toyota wheel locks, Toyota hitch cover.
    Both the 4.0 and the 2.7 use a timing chain. The last Tacoma to use a belt was the 2004 3.4 v6.

    I believe it depends on your year... 95-04 Belt and 05-current is a chain

    If yours is a belt... you probably would want to at about 90K miles.... unless your warranty says othwise...

    If it's a chain don't worry about it unless you have a problem....
