will a 06 bucket drop right in to a 02. Got a tore up drivers seat and a chance to buy a nice exact replacement, no rips, runs , or errors for a Benjamin. Good plastic too. will it go right in? Thanks

Nope. You’ll have to fabricate and/or weld your own brackets. No other seat is “drop in or bolt in”

But at least you won’t have to worry about airbags! I’m stuck with my bench at the moment because the airbags complicate things...

So if I take my rails off from my seat and put them on that seat, that won't work either. Just from pics of the seat the brackets look identical. This would be a bucket to bucket swap. So floor pan on a 06 is different than the 02?

No that won’t work either. You’re trying to put a 2nd Gen Tacoma seat into a 1st Gen Tacoma. Nothing about those trucks are compatible. Floor pans are completely different. The seats are also wider and longer.

You can always cut the old feet off your stock seats and weld them to your new seats.

Yeah, 1st gens share only one thing in common with the 2nd and 3rd gens: The name.

Even the 3rd gen 4Runner seats (which shares a LOT in common with the Tacos) you have to cut and weld at least one of fab the seat mounts, iirc.
