urg... on a quick trip from LA to Vegas I've developed a pretty wicked brake shudder at highway speeds.

Anyone else? I've got about 21K miles on my Double Cab Pre-Runner.

yeah, i'll get the rotors looked at. i also have a very very slight shimmy above 75. need to get the tires balanced. No real substantial heavy braking or long distance.

what makes me suspicious is that this problem seems to have creeped up 6 weeks since I had the suspension TSB done. they checked the brakes and gave me 60-70% remaining on the pads.... wonder if something got misaligned when they put it all back together.

I was expecting the same thing when I got done offroading on the beach this weekend. From what I understand, brakes and sand dont mix, but so far so good:mudding:

I was going to post the same question today. Mine shudders only when I press the brakes.
Should I just start with a balance and go from there?

as I understand: if it shudders ONLY when braking, then there's something wrong with the brakes (warped rotor for instance). If you tires were out of balance, you'd feel the shudder when driving, usually when you hit a certain speed

sounds like maybe the lugs r not torqued right.uneven torque will cause a roter to warp.or they r over torqued.just my 2 cents
