07" JBL STEREO UPGRADE

Hey everyone, searched the threads and reallly haven't found anything solid about this. So I'm in the market to upgrade the stereo system in my 07" Access cab, JBL system. I have no steering wheel controls, just head unit. I'm looking for a Bluetooth Single Din unit. I've been on Clutchfield as well.
Is there a video or thread for anything specific about installing an aftermarket unit with the JBL units? Any help in this would be great!

 

You just need the JBL adapter which will integrate the aftermarket HU to the JBL amp. It's around $100. Crutchfield has them.

If it's the same one as in our 05 4Runner then you have to have one of the digital converters to turn on the JBL system. The amp in the truck requires a digital signal to turn on and power the speakers. If I do it again in the runner then I'll rip the entire JBL system out because it sounds like shit with the converter. Besides you'll have a lot better setup changing it all out anyway. YMMV.
