white is ok ut black is bad pick due to hard to keep clean and shows marks. worst is the summer heat.
My favor color always red.. right now I got the sliver.. not bad choice of color..

Heard that Toyota uses a 2 stage paint without clear coat on the whites. Some people have noticed discoloration or fade on the whites. Just something to keep in mind if this if you park outside and leave it to the mercy of the elements.

My truck is white, and my wife's car is black and never looks clean. Go white if you are worried about it looking clean... or better yet, that metallic grey or silver.

I literally watched the tree fall, dropped the plow and hit the brakes hoping I would stop in time but no way. Hard to see in pic but roofs pretty caved in and console on the inside dropped and A pillar and pass door frame bent and ripped open. Luckily I just got glass on me and had my belt on.

My 6 year old is pushing for black. I already have a white BMW X5 that I drive and it does stay pretty clean looking I will agree. I think black will look better cleaned up but dont spend as much time keeping my cars washed as I use to.

If I look at my black paint funny, it will chip. Seriously, you could just about put a scratch in the paint with your fingernail. But the few times I have waxed it, it looks very nice.

Worst paint in general of any vehicle I have ever owned, chips and scratches way to easily. But its a truck, so I could really care less about the paint....

I agree. I do take care of my cars and wax them 2 times a year but my truck is more "my truck" and my SUV I keep a bit cleaner. I am also a local vol fire chief so my truck has lots of lights, a radio, plow, and FD equipment in the back. I do love the tacomas.

I like to keep as low a profile as possible. My last truck had plenty of bells and whistles but you would never know it from looking at it. Not even and ID plate on it.

White. And change your forum handle to Stormtrooper455. And get one of those stormtrooper shifter knobs.

...and regret you didn't go with dark grey.

I decided to go with White 4 door sport with 18 inch wheels. Just waiting to see which dealer gets me the best deal.

    I love my black truck...

But. It is a huge PITA to keep clean. All scratches show up on it really badly. I wash it and within a day you can see the dust on it....

As far as paint quality, it seems to be good. No obscene amounts of chipping or anything on my 2006

My truck is the Indigo Ink but my second choice would be the Barcelona Red.

White looks awsome when you mod it out. If you intend to keep it stock you are just going to be another one of those white Tacoma driving dudes............................ they are eveywhere................. EVERYWHERE.

I would avoid white just because there are too damn many of em.

Going to change the tires to the Goodyear DuraTracs in the 265/70/17s and add all my UC fire department leds back in. Looking for a good front mount lightbar but with the plow I may have to remove it in the winter. Any suggestions?
