Not to overlook the obvious, have you taken into account the 33 inch tires are giving you false mileage readings by about 2 miles per gallon? Meaning you are getting better mileage than you think.

Been getting true 12.5 MPG from the begining... Increased wind resistance of the aftermarket bumper and tires; wieght of the skids, bumbers, winch, high lift, etc.; speedo correct 33 with 4.56s (+/- 1-2mph) - welcome to driving an economy truck. If you want economy get a duramax. :)

I think you'll find it best to never check your mileage again... just drive the truck and have fun!!

Sheesh and I thought my Jeep was bad @ about 14mpg with the 4.0 inline 6.
However I have about 100 less horsepower, but who's counting. :p

My 1st gen Taco gets as good as 27mpg, and thats with a 5.7 V8!

I normally get 14-18 mpg in my truck is with LT front end and 35's. I just drove to Sacramento from so cal. And got 200 miles go a tank. Wtf ? Also found out I have a cracked rim. And I think I need a new wheel bearing or something with my breaks. Merry Christmas to me ha

Without regear 35's and LT front end, glass and plate bumpers and skids I get a true 14mpg. 12 with 33"s seems a bit bad I was getting 16 with that set up before I went LT

I read somewhere that sometimes your thermostat will get stuck open causing your truck to run cold. This makes the computer richen up the mixture to try to warm it up and can cause bad mpg for no good reason. I sugest getting a scanguage II because they are really handy at seeing mpg and other engine tools, like temp. If your running cold just throw in a new thermostat. Or skip the scanguage and just throw in a new thermostat anyways, they are pretty cheap.

And to think I've been bitching about my 4banger getting 16 in the city lately.

Cold weather and winter gas have a lot of effect on MPGs too.
