    Hi guys

First would like to thank everyone assisting on this forum. Great place to be and learned a lot allready. Very exciting

    I have a 07 trd sport, db cab, 4wd.

I bought the car recently at 150k miles

I changed the rear diff oil yesterday with 80w90 Castrol non syntethic and added the GM LS aditive 4oz.

On 2wd I don't feel any chattering that people mention. Is that supposed to be on 2wd only?

Today I tried the 4wd (haven't tried it yet much)

On dry pavement and 4hi I notice that my rear wheels are blocking sort of, and car sort of vibrating, or sliping, hard to describ. Only on slow speeds and turning a curb

Also I heard a metal click when it went from 4h to 2h. Not a very bad one but noticeble.

    Please advice.

    THank you

Rims and tires , exhaust , stereo , Bhlm ,Changed carpet to black from grey. toytec ultimate lift kit. Allpro front bumper and light bar. In process of blacking out interior. Otrattw switches, black vinyl armrest mod, clazzio leather seat covers with heaters, flowmaster dual exhaust, hornblasters train horns,
Not supposed to use 4 wheel drive on dry road. Trying to turn on a dry road is asking for trouble.

Most likely you didn't hurt anything.
You just put the drive-train in a good bind.
What you were feeling is drive line bind. You SHOULD feel this on hard fixed surfaces like pavement. But it's not good when you do that. Things could really get bound up and break. Unless you were starting fast and corning fast the chances are SLIM anything will break. But still don't do it.
Next time find a gravel or dirt road. Then run 4hi and 4lo.

I will say you should NEVER run the LOCKER on pavement.
Your chances of breaking things goes up drastically if you do this.

Good luck and ENJOY your new truck.
