07 V6, jerking like a downshift when I lift off the throttle.

Hello everyone,

My first post on this site isn't an exiting one. I need help. Like the title says, Everytime I lift off of the throttle I get a jerk from the engine almost like a hard downahift. At low speeds 20-25 its even audible through the body of the truck. It only really started doing this after I thoroughly cleaned the throttle body. It was quite dirty. Idk what it could be, I've been up and down searching with no luck. Some people say it's just a quark.... I don't think so in my case, it seems way too severe. The truck is only a few months new to me so it may be engine mounts but I'm not quite sure.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

 

You have an '07 truck. When was the last time the transmission fluid changed?

I would also consider checking the transmissions fluid level. Not saying this is your problem, but it's an easy fix if it is.

It might be a loose engine, tranny, or driveshaft mount.
