Hey everyone, new to forums but having an issue with my 07 Xrunner and I am unsure where else to get an honest opinion..

So here's my issue, my 07 xrunner only mod is a Volant cold air intake. Now keep in mind, I drive this baby like I stole it every time I get in it, I can't help it.. but now I can't because when I take off, 1st gear makes a clanking sound and it almost sounds like a squealing sound which started off mildly& only in 1st but now it's 1st, 2nd 3rd and sometimes 4th. You can't always hear it but sometimes it's really bad.. I added rear end fluid a few months ago and it disappeared for a while but now it's back and even worse. When I let go of the clutch & it's in gear, you can hear it link up pretty bad now as well. Some places have told me a universal joint, which is an easy fix $20 or so but before I get anything done, I figured I'd ask a few owners if they've run into the issue and what they did to repair it.
