Vapid and vague threats don't strengthen your position in the least. Instead, it makes you out to be someone who is 18 years old in their thinking and believing that throwing a temper tantrum is going to get you your way even when you are wrong.

What is the cost of a brand new shell? It sounds like that is what you should have bought and paid for in the first place. IF you could have found one. Then of course you'd likely have to have it painted which would have probably cost you every dime of what the used cap cost you alone.
