Hello all, i just upgraded from my 95 4runner into an 08 Tacoma. The Tacoma has the non JBL 6 disc changer but lacks an auxiliary port. Im loving my Tacoma but am missing listening to music from my android phone, i know there are ways to hook up and aux port but many i have read will not work on the six disc changer. Is there anything i can do without soldering to add an aux port. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.:)

I just installed a new HU in my 08' I had the same set up as you with non jbl stock 6disc changer but the previous owner had an FM module installed in it. Basically runs you iphone to it and plays directly to your FM stereo through 88.7. He had it set up on a switch so it turned on and off. Quality is almost as good as aux plug this way. I removed it and would prob just give it to you if you pay shipping. It is set up for 30 pin iphone connection but I used the adapter for my iphone 5 and it worked fine. I just realized i don't remember if you said you had iphone or android. Either way you could get one of these installed. I would recommend just getting a new HU personally.

Edit: your running android so mine does you no good.

Thank you, im trying to save replacing the HU as last resort, just wondering if there were any cheaper alternatives that you seasoned experts might know of.

Far from expert here.....I would say this fm module is your best bet. There is a lot to instal or hook up though. You could just go buy a fm module that plugs into your 12v cig lighter and aux into it. That's fast and easy. Depending on where you live it will work just fine. You can pick what station you want to play it on. Here is a link to what I am talking about if you don't know. Not really a recommended model but example of what I am talking about

They are quick and easy. A hardwired one will be slightly better but this type would prob suit your needs
