Will this radio work in a 08 tacoma sr5 pre-runner. I was told it would not work because they are not wired for it.Is this true or not Thanks

 

Radio should work in your pre-runner as long as you have a non-jbl harness & radio. I have a pre-runner and it came with the 6-CD radio but swapped it out with a pioneer avh-p4400 double din

 

not sure if it will work im not sure bro

The 6 disc will work fine even if your truck doesnt have the optional steering wheel controls.

Ok I looked at the radio I got and it does say JBL on the front of the radio will it still work in my truck.

 

If the radio in your truck is Non-JBL then no it will not work due to the different wiring harnesses in the back.

This is what the back of a JBL radio looks like... The Non-JBL radio has 4 slots like the one the OP posted above
