08 tailgate replacement

My tailgate has seen better years and I've located a really nice one for a good price. How hard is to transfer my chrome badges SR5 etc to a plain tailgate?

 

To be honest I would just buy replacement badges from eBay or another online site with new adhesive on them already. Probably can get them for 15-20 bucks. It's not hard to remove your existing badges with floss but you will then need to remove the old double-sided adhesive and apply new adhesive.

 

I assumed they were bolted on and i would need to drill and have access to the interior to put the nuts on the back. Thank you!
