Ok, I need some help from the Tacoma gods here... Somebody smacked the front bumper on our Tacoma, and the dealership is telling me that the front spoiler is not available anymore. I find this hard to believe since the truck is only six years old, but after a lengthy search myself... I actually can't seem to find this thing. Anybody have any idea of how, or where I can acquire one?

Part number they gave me is PT00016-35057, it is a one solid piece lower chin spoiler on the front bumper, looks to be made of a white plastic of some sort.

Any information on where to get it would be greatly apreciated!!

A spoiler is the wing you see on the trunk of ricers. Can you get a picture of what you need?

b : an air deflector on an automobile to reduce the tendency to lift off the road at high speeds
    - merriam-webster

A spoiler is an automotive aerodynamic device whose intended design function is to 'spoil' unfavorable air movement across a body of a vehicle in motion, usually described as turbulence or drag. Spoilers on the front of a vehicle are often called air dams, because in addition to directing air flow they also reduce the amount of air flowing underneath the vehicle which generally reduces aerodynamic lift and drag. Spoilers are often fitted to race and high-performance sports cars, although they have become common on passenger vehicles as well. Some spoilers are added to cars primarily for styling purposes and have either little aerodynamic benefit or even make the aerodynamics worse.

So, does anyone have anything useful or educated to add to the conversation?

instead of searching spoiler, which are generally found on the back of vehicles or on the roof, try body kit, front clip, lower valence something.

Im sure you just searching spoiler, just got you tailgate stuff.

Man, you guys are big on your technical names on here huh.

It is a 'port-installed' part, hence the part number PT00016-35057. May not actually be manufactured by Toyota, but it was added to the vehicle before it was sold to the original dealership that stocked the truck. It is no longer available from Toyota.

You can call it a spicy chicken sandwich for all I care... I just thought that maybe one of the thousands of Tacoma owners out there would happen to have one sitting in their garage somewhere that was taken off of their jacked up - winch wielding - diamond plate clad 4X's.

    You have a TRD sport?

That is not a toyota installed item. Maybe you got a port installed package or dealer installed accessories...either way, you need to find out who made that part, cause it wasn't toyota.

On the front of the vehicle it's called a chin spoiler, I had one on my Mustang. The OP used that term in his initial post.

Some Tacomas in certain sections of the Nation have been out fitted with the front spoilers. Not sure where you could find one, but here is to good luck. Please let us know when you do, and who had it.

Also......if people cant help but be a dick in here, then I will offer a fix for you. You might not like it, but that's the gamble you take.
