    is the factory wiring harness different for non jbl vs jbl ??

    Yes. If you have the JBL system and will be using the Amp you need the harness with the black box Metra TTYO-01 is one there are others. I went and bypassed the JBL amp and used the Metra 70-8117. This harness requires you to run the speaker wires from the back of the new headunit to the output of the JBL amp. It also comes with a 20 pin connector for the power wires. For the NON-JBL you can use a normal 1987-up toyota harness.
