Sorry again for resurrecting another old thread but, seriously considering this swap!

    ETAV8TR:
Are the holes for the outmost bolts of the bottom cushions (the holes nearest to the doors) already existing in your newer truck or did you have to drill them? I may do this swap if I can find a donor or I may use them to mount part of my platform if I decide to make a custom one! Thanks!

since I didn't want to repost either. just offer a few pics of my headrest removal in my 2011.

I ended up removing the whole backrest piece. remove the seat bottoms first, 3 12mm bolts for each seat. you can find them under the velcro portion of the carpet.

here is what it looks like behind it. notice the different snaps along the sides. you can start there to work off the panel.

see the blank spot in the bottom left corner? whoever plastic welded it didn't do a good job. the clips won in this case. so I ended up using some epoxy to reattach it.

    [IMG][/IMG]

and as you can see it is good to have a few spare retaining clips as a few broke.

here is where you can see where the 4 12mm bolts are for the right side headrest.

and the finished product. it's amazing how much more you can see in the rear view mirror. I didn't think it would be that noticeable. and now I can have my wife and kid ride in the truck without removing the glove box.

total time for this is about 30 min. doing the epoxy was another 15.

    Just the basics
All the holes are there as far as I remember. I know I didn't have to drill anything.

I have a set of grey rear seats from my 08' I may be willing to part with.

I removed them many years ago and they have been sitting in my spare bedroom since.

    PM me if interested.

I have a 2009 access cab with grey interior and would be very interested in swapping the rear fold down seats for the flip-over style of the 05-08 models. If anyone is interested, let me know!

Alright might be a dumb question because this is a really old post but I'd like to know where you got those rear seat covers I can't find anything like it.

They are Wet Okole......sold the rear set 10 yrs ago when I got the 08 RC.....the fronts are still in pristine shape in the RC today. Very worth the coin. plain charcoal no piping.
