    Question to the group.

09 Tacoma OR DC. Around 300k on the odo. Regularly and religiously service the vehicle. Just did a major service in the spring of 22. New plugs, fluids, battery, etc etc.

A few times this year I go to start the vehicle and it starts up and then sputters off. It runs for a second or two and then just shuts off. Couple times cranking it like that it starts and then sputters and decides to stay on. Last couple of times it happened was after changing the oil on my driveway, with the trucks nose slightly slanted downwards. This is first time it happened on level ground, and not after an oil change.

Did a quick clean of it this spring. Nothing too detailed.

Just based on your symptoms it sounds like the fuel pump could be on it's way out, a fuel pressure test could confirm.

    Then I agree with @Dm93
    Sounds fuel related.

Fuel filter or pump would be my guess.

Been using Costco fuel last couple years. I gotta feeling its fuel pump/filter related. Looked at replacing filter this spring and found out its in the tank.

Might as well do the pump if you do the filter.
It’s on the bottom of the pump.

    Thanks a lot Toyota.
