Did you use the stock axle shock mounts? I’m planning on raising mine up flush with bottom of the housing.

Finished the Chevy swap. I put my wheels on and now I’ll move to the front and start cutting it apart. 6893B69F-F736-436E-958D-3BF015AD0C3D.jpg

I mounted the steering box today. It’s sleeved and welded on both sides. 6FE3A895-3201-4903-AFFE-C735356E5AF2.jpg 324000D3-F41C-4FFE-95C7-BE6AADE31906.jpg

did you use the WFO Concept frame plates? if so, did you use their bolt holes for the steering box?

Yes I did use their frame plates and I did use their predrilled holes with the plates pretty much maxed forward. Make sure that you set the frame plate high enough to mount the steering box obstruction free and clear the frame. It’s very tight. It’s a real fun time drilling trough the frame keeping the holes square and sleeving the holes with 3/4” o.d. I had to also slightly clearance the radiator bracket and bushing. I’ll take pics later.

At the very minimum cut the excess threads off of the radiator mount to get that box pushed as forward as possible.

This build keeps getting better and better! Are you going to do a brace across the engine?

I probably will. I have my old one which I can modify a little bit and use it.

What is the added benefit of the brace from tower to tower?

It gives it more strength and keeps it rigid. You can get cracks at the frame plates/towers. I have it so I’ll use it. Califabrication build the last one for me and it also holds my remote reservoirs
