I’ve got a dual triangulated four link in mind. Would like to match the rear, but not sure how important that is. If I can’t get what I want out the taco maybe I’ll start in on a jeep or something haha

Yes that’s the lowers portion of that stock crossmember that hangs below the bumper bolts.

Thanks. Crazy I'll have to sit about 10in higher to have 5in of up travel on my setup due to the oil pan. Gonna look into dry sumps and hope i can drop that number.

    You're running 40s or smaller?

Going good got everything tacked in just need to burn everything in now. Tuesday turned into Friday as i had to flip the radius arms which i was hoping to avoid, but the pinion angle would have been so much worse had i left it.

End of day 9 and it left the shop. May have 6x6 blocks for shocks but those will go when the coilovers get in next month. Not bad considering i didnt even have an engine installed when this started.

Steering is not finalized just tacked in as i didn't have time to fab the mount for the bearing to mount to. Steering shaft is actually the original shaft and parts of a 2nd spare steering column.

Still need to clearance the oil pan, install shocks and towers, do the tcase conversions, swap the rear axle and make driveshafts. Once all that and the radiator is mounted its going for a test drive at the local park. Then we'll start on the cage.

Sorry for hijacking the post Pdugan6 yours and another thread were huge inspirations for me to do this. Take care all.

So you have a dual case? how did you get clearance for the front drive shaft? I want to use Martec's 1 ton SAS setup but I just bought a taco box and dont know how it will (if it will) clear the link/trans support.

i would try using their trans crossmember under the crawl box instead of the transmission. the 2 mounts should have the same bolt pattern that bolts the mounts to the crossmember. that should allow the drive sshaft to clear the crossmember. the Links that come with the martec kit would have to be re done to account for pushing the crossmember farther back

I'm in a similar situation, I have an Ecocrawler that I'm working on getting in and I'm interested in the Martec kit too. I'd like to see what the transmission crossmember looks like.

I didnt think of that. As long as nothing is in the way further back, I could do that. My thought was maybe doing a atlas instead of the taco box but now that you say that, I may just stick with it.

Why not run towers into the engine bay to run 14s? Martec is designed for 10&12 CO and is not ideal for droop.

If it's not rock crawling than I don't see why WFO radius arm wouldn't work? 1k cheaper

I had to modify the crossmember to clear the front driveshaft. image.jpg
