09 OE backup cam and mirror swap for 06

Ok i found ta guy who totalled his 09 and was parting it out.. I picked up the tailgate w/ the back up cam and the mirror w/ the screen..
Does anyone know if this can be tied into an 06.. Dealer parts guy said he is unsure how it ties into the computer and the harnesses are alot of chedda.. The one from the bumper to computer is $700 and mirror to computer $200 .. Obviously I will NOT be paying that, but would like to know if its even possible.. And I already asked the guy I purchased the stuff from if he had the harnesses and he does not..

yes this can be tied into the '06...you just need the necessary wiring, wiring diagram, camera, rear view mirror...

go to toyotapartscheap.com...see if you can find the wiring harness cheaper there...

just checked toyotapartscheap.com and they dont have a listing for an 09 tacoma.. strange

I'm gonna say no go on the '06 having the wiring. You would need the wire in headliner. That travels down the a-pillar on the psngr side. Where it goes, I do not know but it much in some part go back to the gate. I would think it would be easier to add a headunit with a backup camera.

 

Its totally worth it. I have it on my 09 and its comes in handy a lot.
