pretty sure I can make it. Engage is still not done with my truck, but it will be 2wd drivable by monday, but its all the way down in Socal. So my plan is to drive down to Socal Friday evening, pick up the truck saturday morning, and drive up to Pismo hopefully before it gets too dark.

I hope you can make it! I was just out there today and the sand is already smoothing out some from the busy summer. :D

For those that want clam chowder for Sat. night, you only have a few days left to put in your order. I think Tues. night is the deadline and then I have to put the order in. So order your dang chowder! :D

Click here to order delicious Splash Cafe chowder

Remember, when you checkout, you have to option to pay now with CC or paypal, or you can choose to pay with cash/check at the beach. Thanks!

Are you wanting to bring that beast onto the sand, or take a spot in the campground off the beach?

go to reserveamerica.com, create an account, and do this:

Search for park name "oceano dunes svra" in california
    select date range
    push search
(fyi, length of stay = how many nights you're staying)

After you click search, click the "see details" button to the right
If you make it this far, you will see the screen shot i posted above.
Click you're arrival date and book from there

and these are not site-specific. You pay the fees, and camp where ever the hell you want to on the sand

Awesome! I think we will be there Friday morning around 9am. We are going out thursday late afternoon and staking out the camp just in case anyone arrives thursday night or earlier than us Friday morning.

Also, for everyone else, the gps coordinates for camp will be posted on the website tomorrow. Basically it is just before pole 6 on the beach, straight down towards the beach from the bathrooms. We should have banners up or if you are really early, a few toyotas with either ultimateyota logos or the pismojamboree logo.

THe only thing Im concerned about is the wind blowing over my tent. Last year my tent blew over at surf and turf. If it is windy, chris, I might just set up camp at our spot (you know where it is) and come hang out.

Sweet. Rene (tacoskim) isn't sure if he's going to be able to make it after all.

    Here's where to meet:

    McDonalds
    828 N Wendy Dr
    Newbury Park CA 91320

Take 101 north - exit Wendy Dr - turn right and go over freeway - McD's will be on the left

I'm posting this here just in case anybody else wants to caravan up with us.

The best way is to drive up to the chevron on Grand ave, and fill up. They have a bunch of air there and it's free. I have a co2 tank, but I still go up and get the free air. I'm sure some will have compressors too.
