The ACC has slightly lost thier (for lack of a better word) prestige, the ACC has slouched. The Big 12 is now better than the ACC IMO. and the Pac 10 is the Pac 10, the only reason why they are talked about so much is USC and Oregon's uniform. Though all the conferences have their teams Pac 10 USC and UCLA. Big 10 Ohio State and Penn State. ACC VT. Big 12 UO and UT. All of those teams have been standouts in their conferences and are sometimes can just blow thier conferences out of the water in football but in the sec every sat. it is a test. you cannot underestimate anybody in SEC football, not even vandy or UK (LSU game anyone). the Big 12 is starting to get to the competative level of the SEC, Where anybody could be conference champ but the Pac 10 and Big 10 are another story and the ACC has recently slumped especially after the Miami incident. i read a story a few years ago a SEC player who had just played a in his first SEC game and asked the Coach if he was going to feel this bad and tired after every game and the Coach just said Welcome to the SEC

Also... another SEC Homer observation. I looked up OU's schedule last year b/c I thought maybe 32 was involved in the OU/Tech score (it wasn't) and saw the ridiculous scores OU put up during the season. In the 13 games preceding the NC game vs. Florida, OU averaged 54 points, and scored fewer than 40 points only one time (vs. TCU, of the Mountain West Conference).

When they went to the NC and played against the SEC Champion they lost 24-14.

Clearly, OU lost to a better team. Not necessarily to one in a superior conference. (Though arguably)

All I'm saying about the conferences is that it's easy to see why SEC conference fans can boast about having the strongest conference when the best of our conference is undefeated when playing in the BCS title game. OU and Texas were clearly the best teams in the Big 12 last year, but when OU came up against the best in the SEC, they got it handed to them... not to mention Texas Tech losing to Ole Miss. I am glad that Texas beat Ohio State. I just laugh at the buckeyes now.

On a somewhat related note... when I looked at the OU schedule from last year to find the numbers I quoted, I also noticed all of the BCS losses the past several years. I know Stoops has a NC, but how much longer will that carry him if he keeps losing the big one? When are y'all going to run ol' Big-Game Bob?
