I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Joe Cox is one of the worst QB's in the school's history. The only good thing about him is he's a senior and we don't have to put up with his terrible decision making/terrible overall QB play for the rest of this year.

I wasn't too huge on the black helmets. Black pants/jersey/helmet mighta been cool, but I wasn't big on the helmet. Don't forget, these are 18-24 year old kids. If the coach thinks a color change will help his kids get motivated (even though it's the UF/UGA game, no one should need extra motivation), it's his job to get them motivated. If they want a color change, let em do it. Not a big deal. If it works, it's a great move (like the Auburn game a couple years ago). If it doesn't work (Like the bama game last year), everyone says it's a stupid gimmick and they should never do it again. Yea, it's a gimmick and doesn't change who the player is in the jersey, but it gets the fans fired up which gets the players fired up. Whether you like to admit it or not, it CAN have an effect on the attitudes of the players. I have never heard the crowd at Sanford Stadium louder than they were against Auburn at the blackout. The crowd got the team jacked and they played well. This year and last year, against Florida and 'Bama, the better team won, straight up. Georgia sucks this year, and Richt REALLY needed to turn their season around, so he was tryin to pull out whatever he thought might help. It was worth a shot.

Speakin of ugly jerseys though, what did everyone think of the hideous black/orange UT jerseys?

I'll tell ya what happened. There is finally a 2nd quality team in the Pac 10, and when USC plays a quality team, they lose. And that's what happened :D

I think "gimmicks", so some ppl call them are great. When they dont work is when everyone bashes it. I was at that Auburn game too Derrick, f'ing amazing!

It seems to me that UGA will be in a slump for a couple more years. We just seem completely confused on all sides of the ball. We have talent, i just think its being used wrong. It all boils down to coaches. I love Richt, but something has gotta change.

For all the pac-10 fans thinking that the SEC is scared to play???? wow. those are big words. I would take a 6-6 team from the SEC over ANY pac-10 team anyday.

Dude... do we have to go through this again??? I thought we already educated you!

I can't really agrue with that point, but like you said, the UGA/UF game isn't one where ANY player should need extra motivation. Same with the other games (except, maybe, Hawaii). These players are at a big-time D-1 school, playing other big-time, D-1 schools. If they need a different color shirt or hat to get up for it, they're in the wrong place.

This is my biggest issue w/ the gimmicks. They never 'work.' Either a team wins or it doesn't. Not once has the color of a jersey caused a fumble or blocked a kick. If the fans get geeked up right at the beginning, that's great, but once the first series is over, the fans are either sitting down (b/c it didn't 'work') or they're going nuts because their team is doing well. They'd be doing either one regardless.

The loudest two games I've attended at Bryant Denny Stadium were the Florida game a few years ago (the last time we beat them... and it was a BEATING), and the Tennessee game last week. My ears rang for hours afterwards... and both times we wore the same home jerseys we've been wearing forever. Crimson over white.

We can certainly agree on that. Those were awful. But... I guess it 'worked.' Of course, I maintain that that collection of toothless white trash cousin-fu**ers would have started screaming if their beloved vols had come out of the tunnel in pink.

You can call me out by name... I can take it. GIMMICKS!

Dude... that's f'ing dirty. That's a good case for face shields. Is that the kind of thing that will get the NCAA involved? I'm all for being a man and playing the game, but that kind of dirty shit can lead to life-long injuries. Eyes are fragile. Phuck that guy!

I can see how a ref might not have seen it... but there really should be disciplinary action taken by somebody... UF, NCAA, SEC... somebody. That's uncalled for, and changes my opinion of that team. I'd be VERY disappointed if my team did something like this.

It's a Florida player trying to poke the eyes of the UGA running back after a tackle has been made. It's ridiculous.

Notice the gaytor fans have not chimed in!?! Because they know their team sux. Pretty sure they are paying people off for all those wins!! Sure makes you wonder!!! If they are champions and all I don't want any part of it and the bcs.

So bama better on drop in the ranks on their by week. The stupid gaytors didn't on thier by week!! If Tebo this the man I think he is he should stand up and say something

It doesn't really matter if Bama drops a spot in the BCS this week. We were off and the #3 team played a really strong game at Stillwater. The last thing we did on the field was hold on for dear life against Tennessee.

It won't matter what spot we're in if we lose to La. State on Saturday. One week at a time. We're still undefeated, so we hold our destiny in our own hands. Win out and who cares if we dropped this week, you know? Don't win out, and it wasn't to be anyway.

Every team will have someone that does it. That's always been a "part of football." I saw it when it happened to and I was going crazy. But like i said, I know it happens and it happens often. The refs can't see everything goin on at the bottom of the pile, but that one was pretty blatant.
