Stronger conference then people think!! That is why all the games are good to watch. Maybe you should watch more then just those teams. You got the college package..... at least I think you said you did at one time!!

I'd be happy to watch more... but they're rarely on TV down here except for USC and whoever else is on top (Oregon this year). When they are on TV, they're often opposite SEC teams I care about. And, of course, when I go to the games I get to see almost nothing but the game in the stadium.

Well... Samford is the small Baptist University in Birmingham. Stanford is in CA... and Sanford doesn't appear to be a school at all.

EDIT: Wait... maybe it is one of those 'pay for a degree' schools....

Hey whats going on in the SEC? Is the fix in by the refs or what?

best comment Ive seen so far and is probably the right answer.

"When playing Florida or Alabama, you must have 3 feet in bounds and the replay clearly shows he only had 2. Good call."

    oh yeah and this

People can piss and moan about the interception / no interception call all day long. By that time in the game, LA State wasn't doing anything. Their players were pulling up lame left and right, and they couldn't move the ball on our D. (They had a grand total of 9 yards in the 4th quarter.)

On the interception, the LA State player did a little double-clutch as he was out of bounds. They could have seen that and decided that he didn't clearly demonstrate that he had the ball... which would have made it impossible to overturn the call on the field. If they'd called it an interception, it would have stood that way, too.

Im not saying it cost la state the game. But with the bad calls mounting up in the sec in favor of gaytor and bama it makes me wonder wtf is going on?

I've seen a number of calls helping UF... but how many have really helped us? I'll concede the one in yesterday's game. What else?

Ask visa or my wife. They both constantly remind me how much I've got left to spend.
Also to add to this Alabama / LSU debate I was at the game and there were MANY no calls on LSU where they would happen to get their feet tangled with the bama players. The calls went both ways, they were equally bad but that should have been a pick. Also LSU did have another possession after the almost int and didn't do anything but have players fall down after each play.

LIke the video showed, That divot is from his left foot...and you can't tell if he actually had full possession of the ball when his left foot was down. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought you had to have the ball completely secured when goin out of bounds. He had the ball in his hands, but, if I"m not mistaken, it wasn't a "catch" until he had it secured and pulled into his body. I could be completely wrong on that though. There was really only one angle that showed he had his right foot in when he had possession. I do think it was an interception, though.

With that said, there are calls that are missed in EVERY game. The only reason people are saying the refs are in it to help UF and Bama is because the SEC had a crew suspended. If they hadn't called that stupid penalty on A.J. Green, this huge controversy wouldn't be happenin, people would just be sayin it was a missed call, not a "fix." 'Bama and UF have been the best teams in the league. You can't say one or two calls decided the game. Arkansas had 5 chances to score that I can remember that they missed. If they had hit those 2 field goals or Mallet would have hit the FB in the endzone when he was open by 15 yards, Arkansas would have won the game and everyone wouldn't be talking about the refs fixing the game.

I don't know if you're wrong about having the ball tucked to have possession, but he re-clutched the ball after he was well out of bounds. i watched the replay again today. Most of the times they show it he's making his double-clutch as the view of the ball is obstructed by another LA Sate player, but there's one angle that shows it clearly. I'm pretty confident that's what the officials saw and decided he didn't have full possession until after he'd walked on chalk.

yea I'm not 100% sure about the rule. I just know that for it to be a catch going out of bounds, you have to have complete possession the whole time, can't reclutch, and the ball can't move once you're out of bounds or once you hit the ground. I think it should have been INT for LSU, but, I don't think it would have changed the outcome of the game. Either way it's Bama/UF in the title game. Doesn't really matter now.

I was on a slow connection when I posted before... I wasn't able to watch that YouTube clip. If you watch it, check out 1:04-05 and 1:08-09 (when they run it backwards). That's when he re-grips the ball, and that's why they said he didn't have complete control, despite what Verne, Gary, or that little dumbshit in the video says. Nobody disputes that he had his feet in... the gash in the turf proves nothing.

Again... If they'd called in an INT, I think that would have stood, too. There wasn't conclusive evidence to overturn. No conspiracy.

Ucf was not a big win for us and we had no doubts about winning that game. But I also would not call a game against a shitty fsu team a big game either. BUt I guess if your clemson or a shitty eer' big east team thats what you have to live with each week. Every game is a big game no matter how shitty the team your playing is.

back and too the left...back and to the left.... this is turning into the Zapruder film. lol

no its a big win because it looks to finally be a turning point (i hope) for clemson

in previous years...even before tommy bowden...we lost that "killer instinct" to put teams away...we showed signs of that returning moreso saturday night than any time i can remember in the recent history

we've had issues too with bouncing back after an unexpected loss (maryland this year) and...knock on wood...we've won 4 straight since that including a win at then #10 Miami...this also has given us our best shot at winning the ACC since 1991...
