Jesus.. $900k? I guess anything's possible, but that's a TON of money. I can't imagine any assistant coach is worth that.

Like I said I've only heard it once, so we'll see how true it is in the next day or so when more info comes out (I'm assuming it will come out soon)

Yeah, details will come out. It'll be in the papers here, for sure. I won't be shy with details when I hear them. I'd be amazed if we dropped that kind of cash on him... but we're losing most of our starting defense, so who knows. We might need his skillz to rebuild.

What a douche bag move on Kiffen's part. All that talk of integrity and BS that he ran before the season and during the press conferences about the thugs he inherited.

I wonder if he got a taste of the alumni politics at Tenn and thought that a soon to be sanctioned USC was a more manageable nightmare.

Or maybe he didn't want to be punished by the SEC or the school for all the violations he took part in during his first 6 months at the school. As long as USC doesn't win and UT is in chaos mode during recruiting season, I don't really care...I hate both schools anyway, so Kiffin, UT, and USC can all suck it.

UT could be looking at Muschamp to be the next coach.

    Muschamp aint going anywhere.

Students at Ut were rioting over the kiffen deal.
Only video I can find right now but reports were they were blocking him from leaving the building and burning mattress.

This is gonna be a fun off season with a start like this.

    wow. those folks are morons.

Will Muschamp is not going anywhere. He is set at Texas and will become the next coach. He still needs to learn more of the political and personal side of the game. Mack is a great person to learn from. He turned Texas around. I will be shocked if Coach Boom leaves.

Well, from everything I've heard/read, Muschamp is Tennessee's "Number one choice." If they can't get him they Want Jon Gruden or Cutcliff.

Orgeron called 9 high school recruits last night telling them not to go to school today at UT because today was the first day of classes there. If they went to class today they were officially enrolled in school and told them it'd be harder to transfer and they'd have to sit out a year once they came to USC.

If Tennessee gave him the opportunity to be a head coach RIGHT NOW, and gave him what a head coach in the SEC can get ($2-4 million/year), don't you think he might consider dumping his $900k salary and seemingly endless 'coach in waiting' status and go to the other UT?

    No I do not.

He has had the chance to be head coach. He has publicly stated he is not looking for a job just to be a head coach somewhere. His wife loves Austin and he loves the job at Texas and he knows he is the next head coach here. He likes the situation where he can learn under Mack and eventually take over somewhere he is already established and not have to go somewhere and start cold with a program he is not familiar with. He has the perfect situation here and is making enough money that he wont be lured away by other offers.

I hope you're right. I don't want that guy in the SEC. I'd rather Tennessee get another complete moron to lead their program.

What good will that do him if Mack does what Bowden & Paterno are doing. (or did in Bowdens case)

Jumbo Fisher probably thought "bout fvcking time!"

Macks had to much success to leave anytime soon.
