put a 3'' lift in 09 tacoma ,now want to get rims and tires to fill up wheel well .what are your suggestions on rims sizes and tire sizes, what size rims will work and what size tires ,found 15x8 and 16x8 rims at a good price that will fit tacoma but then what size tires, they mentioned with the 15" no spacer is needed up front 16" neededs a spacer up front. I want the tires big but still needed to work well as a daily driver

    Welcome!

5 lug or 6 lug? 265/75r16 is the biggest size that will fit without trimming for 16'' rim.

15's dont fit on a 2nd gen due to the size of the brakes on the front. So, you'll need 16's or larger, and 8-9" width along with around 4.5-5" backspace. a 284/70/17, or 285/75/16 would be a good fit with some minor trimming on the front. :) Theres tons of pics on the site of random combos
