09 tacoma heater ac problem

    Did you get the whole compressor replaced? I have the same problem as you minus the smoking smell...my belt is not slipping. However, I haven't taken the clutch and pulley off yet because of that stupid tool you need to take off the center nut. I'm hoping its just a bad bearing...when I spin it without the belt on it has uneven resistance.
