I have a 2009 Tacoma sport Manual, When in gear on the gas i have a loud squeaking and occasional loud tapping noise happening while accelerating. When rolling in neutral sound is not there. It’s getting very loud And is starting to Tap more often, Scary noise for me.. Wondering what the issue could be if anyone can help?

Greased U Joints and Most sound stopped, however i wasn’t able to grease the rear zerk fitting It just wouldn’t take any grease, and i still have a squeak when in reverse. Yes only squeaks under load Drive train looks good has only a little play

U-joints as mentioned. You need to pull the drive shaft ends and move the joint around to check properly. The rear one you couldn't grease is probably going to be very stiff or one of the crosses leaking rust dust.

I'm having what sounds to be the same issue, but I have a nearly new Tom Woods single piece drive shaft that I installed 8 months ago. I reached out to them and they said it could be the double cardan.
