Ok, before i get railed on for beating a dead horse, i read somewhere that LEDs will require less power and that reverting a '11 Tacoma I have to '08 and previous assembly may "strain" or otherwise fudge with something

Maybe blowing smoke but I was just wondering, mainly because I see most people upgrading to the LEDs but not many have mentioned downgrading to the old style. Thanks for the help in advance!

    Yeah, I gots boost
I don't see you having any issues... the change in consumption is marginal at best. And I don't believe the wiring changed between the styles. It should be fine

I did the swap 08' to 09' OEM products (both) and have had 0 problems. I even hooked into the break line because I've got a snug-top camper shell that requires power to the third break light.

LED is sweet. I say go for it and you'll like the new tails...

Haha, well if i didn't have a second set already for a swap i'd take you guys up. The LEDs are pretty sweet and they go great with a chrome bumper, but since i have a base Tacoma (metallic gray) they just kinda stand out like annoying white eyes on that black/gray bumper, makes me look like some wannabe, euro-ricer or something. If my truck was white or silver i'd definitely leave them, even black. But there's something that just doesn't sit right with me on the gray body.
