Hey everyone, I’m new to 2nd gen Tacomas and I’m looking at an 09. Just wondering if the instrument panel shown in the photo is correct for the model. I thought there would be a rear diff lock button like on the 1st gens. Guessing this is integrated into the “little car with swerving lines” switch now? Any feedback would be super appreciated. Thanks. 091BC314-DC3C-4DD1-AEAB-DC9C5625045A.jpg

No, it would be a separate switch, under directly under the A/C vent. It looks like you just have stickers and not the TRD offroad package

That is not a TRD Off-road. It looks like an SR5 model with an added TRD sticker. On top of the Rear Diff Lock switch, you would definitely have power mirrors and Fog Lights to go along with a chrome rear bumper.

Doesn't the Off-Road also have a switch for the outlet in the bed?

Yep not an OR. The decals don’t look anything like the original decals that come on a 2009 OR. Those are after market OR decals on an SR5. If you are being told it’s an OR you are being lied too. I’d be hesitant to buy from anyone telling me that big a lie.

Off roads can be SR5 too, but this one is definitely not an OR

Thanks everyone for the super quick replies. As I suspected and as y’all confirmed, definitely not an OR package. I called the dealer out on it and they pointed out that it didn’t specifically say TRD in the title of the ad :/
Anyhow it’s at a used dealership in Sacramento for $17k. Lots of good recent maintenance, but 190k miles. I’m just looking for 4x4 but I see lots of listings around here where the stickers were clearly added by the owner... probably gonna pass.

That seems high for even an offroad with that many miles. Is that normal right now?

I don’t know what things actually *sell* for but here in the San Francisco area, Toyota tax seems ridiculously high right now.

Tacoma's aren't going for any cheaper here is Charleston SC. Covid and the lack of used car trade ins have shot up the prices. Tacoma base model 5-lugs selling for 20,000
