I hate these threads as much as anybody, especially since I already asked something very similar to this a year ago.

I'm buying my '09 4x4 reg cab Tacoma in 4 weeks. The wheels I have are Pro Comp 16x8" with 4" backspacing. I already know I will have to shave the caliper a tiny bit for the wheels to clear that flange BS on the outside of the caliper but I don't care about that.

I know I will clear all of the suspension and frame, with 285/75/16 tires. The truck will have a 3" Revtek lift.

What I am not sure of exactlly, is how hard I will hit the body mount, with the 3 inch lift up front and truck under moderate-heavy compression. There was one guy on another forum running the same size Pro Comps/tires/setup on an access cab but he got banned and I have no way to PM him.

Will it rub the body mount just driving around town? If I cut back the body mount and cap it, Would it then just rub on the wheel well near-full compresion?

He did state that he hits the body mount but there were no detailed info as to how bad.

Can anybody who has or had this, or very similar setup on a 2005+ Tacoma chime in.

One last thing is if anybody has any opinions as to how much worse running 285's VS 265/75s will be on robbing the 4 banger of HP without regearing. I dont care about gas milage.
