"'09s Sold Out, Only 2010s on our lot...Here's The Info."

Put out feelers for quotes from my local dealerships...again...and have started getting responses that the 2009s are sold out (on their lot) and the 2010s should be here shortly. Im waiting for a reply email with the exact date of 2010 arrivals. They sent me these specs FWIW:

Wow sold out already? We have 6 dealers within 30 miles of me and they all have atleast 10 Tacoma's each on their lots. They are all White, Silver, Black, or Gray but they have them.

 

I got my TSB done Monday and the dealership had a bunch of 2009 double cabs on the lot. I didn't count them but there were 2 rows. I bought my '08 in October 2008, and they still had 5 2008 dbl cab prerunners and 3 2008 dbl cab 4x4's on the lot. I can't believe a dealership wouldn't order enough tacomas that they run completely out a month before the 2010's come in.

 

Yea, only changes for the '10s are that the front cup holder functionality was "enhanced" whatever that means. Had a post about it a few days ago when they made the announcement.

More like 29K+ depending on where you are. There obviously isn't gonna be a rebate on them for a good while.

 

Is the 2010 Taco NOT getting the dual VVTi? The 4 Runner and FJ are getting the updated 4.0 why wouldn't the Taco!

Depends on who you talk to at the dealership. One sales guy told me that the 2010 won't be around until November (which is bs) so he can try and sell me an 09. Anyone here actually work for a Toyota dealership that have access to dealerspace and help me locate one?

 

ENHANCED FRONT CUP HOLDER!??! ..... I better trade in my '09.

 

Thats basically the story I got from my dealer as well. 2009s are more or less sold out. Been trying to get an '09 AC 4x4 with a 6 speed for a few weeks, but keep coming up empty. Told my salesman forget about finding me an '09, and just order a 2010.

 

This is the best time to buy an 09. They will be making some good deals on the 09 when the 2010's are about to come out.

I just read thru the list. On top it said 245/75/16 tires and below it said TRD OFF ROAD graphics. Are they putting the Dunlops on the off roads this year?

 

The 265 width tires are listed under the TRD package.

The only thing fishy is Ceiling mounted speakers, which is in the Access cab, not the double cab. Its probably just a input error though.

 

Dealership called me back, confirmed they were out, and said they would have 2010s at the end of August. Im located in MN, and have found two dealership that are out of stock, and 3 dealerships with less than 3 tacomas inventory...all normally have around 10 in stock.

 

The reason they are sold out is probably do to the Clunker deal.

 

Gah I hope they discontinue the Mag Grey until like 2015 or so when I need a new truck

 

I'm picking up my 2010 4 banger, 4x4 Access cab by end of the month...SR5 SL, Magnetic Gray. Scheduled for build next week and 2 weeks til delivery...

 

I dont think the Tacoma Qualifies for the CARS deal.. (Cash for Clunkers)
