Thank you for clearing that up for me. I'm so disappointed.

Me to. I'll take my Mobil 1 with me to the dealership service department when the time comes and if they will not let me watch them pour it in the engine I'll go someplace that will.

I was surprised that my local dealer offered a Mobil 1 oil change upgrade for $11 during my scheduled 5K maintenance. I was even more surprised that the dealer changed the oil at 5K as part of the Toyota 2 year maintenance. I like $11 Mobil 1 oil changes.

My dealer put me on the every 12 month oil change as it would take me 3 to 4 years (maybe more) to drive 5,000 miles.

    Seriously?

So grandmas that only use their vehicle to go to church and the grocery store really do exist!! :p

So does Scooter62 mean you're 62 years old and your other car is a scooter?

I'm clearly joking, I just don't know anyone that drives their vehicle that little. Gimme 4 months and I'll be past 5000 miles :D

Yeah, some people are retired and don't need to go nowhere often... like me... I'll do an average of maybe 11,000 kms/yr... That's about 6,820 American miles...!! Hehe.. The beer store is close by and my other car is a snowmobile...!!

Yeah seriously. I'm not an important person. The grocery store, laundry mat, lottery tickets once a week.

Scooter is a nickname I picked up in my carny days back in the early 1980's. The "62" is my birth year, 1962. No I do not own a scooter.

I put just under 2,000 miles on the chevy colorado that was built on 27 APR 15 and I traded in on 9 NOV 15. Most of those miles were driving to different Toyota dealerships. Closest one is 65 miles from where I live.

Hey, no disparaging remarks at all - you guys are the people we dream of buying used vehicles from! Well that was until I could afford brand new ones that is.

    Aaron,
Be careful.... I put 15k on my Jeep in 3 years and 20k on the 08 Tacoma in 5 years. In between I put about 150k on my Harleys so yea, only drive it to get groceries and "if" it rains. Trying to cut down on Harley miles so I'll be driving the 16 Taco more. Getting tired of new brakes and tires every year when the tires are $300 per, brakes are $60 per and 3-4 oil changes are almost $100 each(for the 5k, the 10k's are $150).

Sam, that is a lot of miles on 2 wheels!

On my track bikes, I only get 2 days out of a rear tire and that runs around $250 per tire....

Yea, been putting alot of miles on the bikes and upkeep is a bitch!!!! Just did a 4 day, 1300 ride to Death Valley the beginning of Nov. I get about 15k out of the back and 25k out of the front. Thats the new tires. Before Dunlap went to the new rubber, it was 8-10k on the back and 15-18k on the front. I've done well over 240k since 2005 on the bikes. My 11 Road Glide had 54k after 4 years and I mostly rode the 09 Road Glide during the week to work.

Wasn't calling you guys grandmas it was a, tongue firmly planted in cheek, remark about the fabled unicorn advertised by used car salesmen that is the grandma that only drives to church and the store on Sundays with her car which is why there is so little mileage on a vehicle!
