Realistically, a one inch body lift isn’t going to hurt anything. More than that and you’re asking for trouble.

Take it from a guy that actually has a 1 inch body lift instead of the parrots that spout out “information” they have no experience with but read about from somebody else (that probably heard it from somebody else). A 1 inch body lift won’t hurt anything. It’s easy to install by yourself too. My only issue was being to lazy to redrill my bumper mounting bracket to get the rear bumper up closer to the body. Sure, a 3 inch body lift wouldn’t be good on a solid off-road vehicle but that doesn’t mean that all body lifts are bad much the same as how a 2 inch suspension lift is good but crank it 2 more inches and all kinds of stuff start getting overextended and break. Moderation is your friend

Thought I would chime in for the real off-road people and give my experience with a 1” body lift. Here is my old truck before my 2018 TRD Tacoma. And yes it has a 1” body lift. It also has a 1” drive train lift, 1” gas tank lift, solid axle and a Marlin Crawler. The 1” body lift was greatly needed despite the front axle moved forward a full 3 1/2”. If done right a 1” body lift can give that extra clearance needed.

If you want a 1” body lift go for it. Just remember to lower your radiator so the fan does not hit the shroud.
