    Bypass filters are not lazy and cheap. They are much larger (you can buy single or dual bypass canisters) and are better at filtering particles hence the longer intervals between oil changes. I ran an Amsoil remote, dual bypass on my 5.9L Cummins without issue. More efficient at filtration != (does not equal) cheap and lazy. What I liked most about the setup was the filters were so much easier to get to/change in the spot where I mounted them.
