It's funny people like to get obsessed with their agenda's.

If you're on a forum and you don't like customization, I just don't know why you're here.
If you think HID in a projector housing is "stupid" you probably also flash people with factory HID just because you think they might have done something after market.
If you think an HID kit impacts the DRL, then you'r lack of knowledge about the truck, the HID KIT, and the DRL's is very questionable and you should probably not comment.

Toyota called, and they said it may have been damaged while the truck was in for the hood repair....so the new headlight will be in tomorrow and all you whiniers can put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Put the stock light back in and bring it to the dealership for warranty. The led burned out for what ever reason. If I had to guess maybe from the heat of the hid.

Other then added heat the hid has nothing to do with it and can't.

already done, headlight being ordered. You have a point with the heat, but, you'd think there would be other examples, and then of course, if there were, no one would do HID.

I posted here to see if there was any other examples of failure, and only one has been PM'd to me, probably just a fluke or related to the hood repair as stated above.

Give it time and we may see more cases. It simply could have been a defective part. I know for many that's hard to believe. But it could have so suck it. Lol

it's 1/2 the PCB which tells me cold solder most likely scenario.

There's a huge issue with the hoods, mine was also impacted, being 1st year, I expect there's going to be issues.

I was underneath the truck there's already surface rust on all the bolts on the rear diff...who knows.

Any car truck or van u own will have some surface rust on bolts and such. Mostly you just had a defective light for what ever reason no matter.

This is a new truck that hit the market hard. Toyota wants the customer ro be happy and I'm sure they will be fixing lots of issues over the next year or so.

I'm not worried about it, I have 4 cars, this is my daily though, and I figured I'd post it just in case any others are having the same issue, whether HID or not, and I'm not the only one, so I got the response I was looking for.

Because the damn stock lights suck. I just changed out my interiors to LED....at least now I can see from the light.

You are probably one of the don't mod your truck unless you want problems.....sheesh.
