I reordered a mid travel kit, but won't be available for a year or so. Until then, I was thinking about a 1/4 spacer just to get the ground clearance I need.

Does anyone have them and actually off road? Any issues that you've come across?

I do a lot of off roading, mixed bag between rock crawling and desert stuff and want to know if someone pushed the limits at all.

Plan on an alignment afterwards if you're gonna do it right. Seems like a lot of effort for just 1/4" alteration. Embrace the Taco lean.

It's not even about the lean, I have a crazy driveway to my cabin that the truck scrapes on everything when I go there. I made it that way to keep people from breaking into the cabin. My xterra didn't have any issues, but now that I move on the to the truck, it's not as easy.

I was considering all of my options when I reordered the mid travel kit and I was thinking about doing the westcott lift and leaving it. The only reason why I went with the mid travel is for peace of mind. My neighbor just upgraded his and gave me the spacers. So they're free, not 3-400 bucks for the westcott lift.

Never mind how much of a pain in the ass it'd be to install the westcott's over the free spacers.

Too much money and work for a temporary solution. He has new suspension on its way, its just going to take nearly a year.

TRD pro doesnt have taco lean, the factory shocks have a built in slight lift on the left side. He needs clearance for new tires, 1/4 spacer will give him a half inch lift and may be enough to clear his tires.

1/4 inch spacer shouldnt have that much effect on rock crawling or desert stuff. And the extra beef of the pro suspension should be enough to handle it.

Assuming you have a pro suspension

Wescott kit you will need to remove the struts, remove the springs, install the spacer, then put the spring back on and then put it back in the truck. A ton more work than the 1/4 spacer.
