1.5" past stock TRD sport rims

    Just to double check what I learned reading the threads. Can anyone confirm to me that if I want to have my stock TRD rims/tires to stick out 1.5 more inches, instead of buying 1.5 spacers I can buy new rims and get 8" wide rims with a 4.5" back space? Correct? Thanks

    Really, what about a inch then. Simply getting a 4.5 backspace should do that right?

    I have some custom flaps by Renotacoma and removed my OEM flaps. I run 255 KM2s. On the long weekend I still have rocks kick up all down the side of my truck when we went wheeling. With my stock 265s and 1.25 spidertrax wheel spacers it moved my tires just flush with the fenders

    so what would that be equal to in a KMC endro rim? 17x8 4.5 back space?

    i have 265/70/17 BFG a/t's right now and will be putting them on the new rims. I just would rather get rims then add spacers but the 1.25 is probably what I want

    The 0.5 wider wheel will pull the tire in 0.25", so even though the wheels stick out 1.5" more, the tires will only stick out 1.25 more.

    cool so I should just go with the 17x8 4.5 bs? and then the obvious tacoma 6 bolt pattern? Is there anything else I should be aware of?

    You should make sure that the hub bore is greater than 106 mm.

    With just this much sticking out I get the occasional loud ping of a rock high up on the door, let alone what hits the rocker panel. And I have custom flaps from Reno also
