1.5 to 2 inch lift kit for 2013 Taco Please!!

    Hello fellow Taco owners,
    This is my first post. I'm looking for a 1.5 to 2 inch lift to allow for slightly larger tires(265/70 R17). I'm going to get flack for admitting this, but I ordered a Ready lift (2.75-3 inch spacers for front and 2 inch block for rear)for my new 2013 Taco and was unable to install it due to the front coils rubbing the UCA's. So I guess I need new coil overs, but I don't want to limit travel. What would be my best setup? Any help is appreciated.

    Coils shouldn't rub the UCAs with a spacer lift unless it was designed for another vehicle, if you want a good front lift that's about 1.5" go with eibach coils and 5100s. If money isn't an issue get some king extended travels (you need new ucas for them).

    I'm running readylift spacer. Don't know how much you paid for it but I do know readylift ain't as cheap as other spacers of eBay. I personally would go with 5100's. Do it right the first time. Your gonna hate that 2 inch block in the rear as well.

    I thought that too, but when I called ReadyLift, they told me about 1 out of every 8 TRD trucks have this problem. Not sure why or how. Do you have any recommendations on a website to purchase eibach coils from?

    I just got my ready lift off ebay for my 2007 still havn't done install yet but hopefully i wont have the same problem

    Thanks Large!!! Would you recommend the differential drop kit for a 1.5" to 2" lift? Some posts recommend it if you are over a 2" lift.

    Go to toytech and get either the 5100s with eibachs, the toytech ultimate lift kit or in my opinion the OME setup is the best bang for your buck. Right around $1000 with free shipping if you order the OME setup from trdparts4u.com and use the coupon code ome10 for 10% off...

    i suggest the ome struts, ome 884 coils and an add-a-leaf along with some new longer than stock rear shocks, there are several out there, personally i run sky jacker rear shocks that are about an inch longer than the ome rears, which are only 1 inch longer than stock rears.. alternatively some ppl run the ome dakar rears with a leaf removed, this will be better than the add-a-leaf option in the long run. you will not need a diff drop or new control arms.

    A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
    OME-TACO-0513B- Full OME setup. 885s in the front. Get rid of your sway bar, you won't need it. Dakars out back, pull a leaf so you don't have a ton of rake. It's going to be a little over 2" of lift, but you'll enjoy the ride and the peace of mind having done it right.

    Slap all that new sweetness onto your truck and have a nice day.

    I couldnt find it but there is a thread on here explaining why diff drops on 2nd gens are pointless. Especially with only 2" of lift. Some people run them fine but ive seen some people cause more damage than good when wheeling so save the cash on that and go with the OME kit!

    No you dont need a DD or a sway bar relocate with the 2" lift at least I dont need the swaybar relocate with the IronMan lift.

    I have a 2011 double cab trd off road 4x4 with a 3" front and 1" rear ready lift with no issues what so ever. Is it only rubbing the coils when jacked up?

    What did it do when you put the tires on it and put weight on the front end

    It didn't get that far. My dealership stopped the install because the sway bar was rubbing the coils. ReadyLift told them to space the sway bar with washers, but the dealership didn't want to rig it. I don't blame them. Adding washers would space it, but the gromet would have been loose.
