I am going with 3" leveling lift and a 285/70/17 tire and I'm debating on if I want to go with the 1.5" spacer or the 2" spacer and is it really necessary for it to be hubcentric?

He talking wheel spacers. Yes hub centric is a must. Wouldn't go over 1.25. Spidertrax, or Bora. If you must, they are not to liked as a solution. Wheels are a better bet.
