Wtf are you doing in Syracuse? I thought you were on the west coast? That's a long trip, ( did it on a v-star 650 in 2006 ) Boston to Portland/ Seattle and back.

I live on the west coast! Started our ride in Virginia Beach, VA and we’ll end up on the Oregon coast at the end of August.

Nope and I am super jealous. Take me 45 mins to drive across the island with no traffic. It’s very disappointing.

That's what my room mate from back in the day said. 1hr driving and you've seen the whole island! I just thought it was hero_O

I’m back! 26 days, 5,659 miles and 13 states. There is a lot of cleaning and maintenance to do on the bike but I’ll be taking my time with that.

Already checked in on my camper mounts. Two weeks before I get them in my hands. My goal this week is small: finish taping the last two seams. Then it’s sanding...all sanding all the time until it’s done. Then fairing compound and more sanding.

Damn you rode the whole TAT?! Good job! I have a Wr250r and am a big fan of huskys.

I just found your thread a few days ago and binge read it. I was so bummed to see you scrap the original idea, but now I see that you were right to do it. This camper will be much bigger.

You really are an inspiration with how you work. Great attention to detail.

I’m also interested in a larger fuel tank, so I’m curious about the overflowing issue. Have you heard of anyone else having that problem with that tank?

Weekend goal achieved! I finished glassing the last two seams. Haha...big whoop. But, it’s a big mental step to make. I’m getting excited to keep moving on it.

Camper mounts! They are overkill but I needed these dimensions (I think...haha) and machining them down to be lightweight gets expensive fast! Besides, I’d only shed a total of a couple pounds.

Wasn’t sure it was the right material for the job. Didn’t want to find out the hard way as it will be buried under a 750lb camper. It was a fear based decision. Haha!
