That’s it for today. I got the panel above the door and the angled roof panel adjacent to it coated. Back at it tomorrow.

This may be it for today. We’ll see.

Sanded the boxes up a bit. Ready for routing and detailed hand sanding of certain areas. Once that’s all done then it’ll be time for fiberglass.

Then there’s this terrible photo. Epoxy fairing on the roof over the back window and the back angled roof surface. Slowly making my way around the camper.

The first round of epoxy fairing is actually really fast and easy. Keeping it warm enough to cure is the hard part.

Yeah, I imagine that would slow down the process quite a bit

Just ordered the hinges, fasteners and latches for the under bed boxes! But forgot to order the new bulb seal for the camper door. I realized I could order 1” bulb seal and it would compress the correct amount without modifying the door or jamb at all. Not sure how any of the bulb seal will really work around the corners but we’ll see. Then I’ll use the bulb seal that I originally bought for the camper door on the underbed box doors. Perfect! Everything will be sealed-ish.

    Some routing...some epoxy.

Some of the plywood blew out from routing. Knew it was going to happen...and it did. I was able to minimize it once I figured out which way to travel in the cut. Which I will forget immed...what was I talking about?

    I do the same thing.

I always have to look at the bit, figure out its rotation direction, then how to move the router.

You'd think it would be easy to remember.......

Do you move it the way it naturally wants to move, or against that?

    If that makes sense..

    Yes, it makes sense.

You want the bit to cut into the work. In other words, at the bit comes around, it should pass over the already cut area, and cut into the workpiece.

Another way to say that is to pull the router along the workpiece against the rotation of the bit. To use what you said, against the way it wants to move.

If I had a bit in front of me, and I knew which way they turned, it would be much easier to explain!

More sanding and epoxy work on the boxes.

    26051025-42FB-468E-ADF2-6640065F1760.jpg

These will be ready for fiberglass after I sand this down and clean them up.

    C001E7C8-828D-4322-882A-45BA50ECA063.jpg
The hinges and screws arrived for the boxes. The latches should be here next week.

    2CEEFE2E-73F5-4624-B679-B9CF33BFB709.jpg
And I finally got around to actually crossing the door latch off the list!

My big plan this weekend is to insulate the ceiling of my garage where I’m working on the camper so I can move faster by keeping the whole space heated. This will be absolutely critical when it comes to paint. Not ideal to be doing this now and in this fashion but this late winter is making it a necessity.

That is one of my biggest challenges over the winter months: trying to keep the garage at a temperature to where I can fabricate plastic and paint it without having issues.
I know your pain my friend.
