    Whats the name of it?

If you spray windex on it while its wet you might be able to smooth it out with you finger.

Moot point at this stage though. Its already on and dry by now.

It’s dicor self leveling lap sealant. Yeah, it’s well on it’s way to cures now. I’m not even a little bit worried about it.

Getting a great start on the day:

    Rear box mounted!

I still need to go around and loctite all the fasteners and then seal all the seams. I don’t want water down between the boxes cuz it’ll just get nasty and I don’t need that. Plus, if I do a good job (not likely), it’ll look way more finished.

    Lots more to come today!

The best job I’ve ever done, actually. I’m going to break for lunch then get back to work.

I REALLY want to bolt it on tomorrow evening. Gotta see if I can recruit some help. I have some folks that can probably help Monday/Tuesday after work but I’m impatient. :angrygirl:

That’s it. She’s technically weather-tight and ready to mount to the truck!

Feels good to be here. Now it’s all about getting loaded on to the truck and bolted down without incident.

It has been a really fun experience watching you progress with this project. Very much looking forward to seeing it mounted on the truck. It’s a shame I’m all the way on the other side of the country, I’d be happy to lend a hand. :D

I appreciate that. It has definitely helped to post here and have a place to vent and be reminded not to take this stuff too seriously. Luckily for all of you, there are still MANY things to do to finish this camper but the main giant hairy beast of a project is now complete.

Worked on the electrical a bit.

Low Voltage Disconnect is mounted and wired up. Started the wiring for the fan and refrigerator as well. I have a 12v outlet that I added in the little cubby by the drivers right knee (no parking brake there on autos) along with a coax fitting for handheld CB use in the future. I’m going to wire up that 12v outlet finally and just use the cigarette style plug for the fridge in that outlet for now. I’ll wire a dedicated plug for the fridge later. I just need a constant hot plug and that one by my knee will do. The camper fan will be a lo-fi setup as well just to get me safely up and running. I’ll do minimal drilling on the camper for now then I’ll dial it all in later when I decide on all the bits and bobs I want to add.
