    Lift, method rims, big tires.
    I got 5100 bilstins installed and also I got a 3in spacer too. I had the machine put on the spacer and in the 5100 i moved the clip one up so I get a .75 in raise on the shock. So in total I’m doing 3.75 lift. The guy told me that’s the max I can go and it’s safe because I don’t have 4 wheel drive. I like it but do you guys think it’s okay. I really don’t care about alignment.

    how much does it cost for somebody to switch the upper and lower ball joints.

    @Patrickaudish

    I do hope, for your tires sake, that you do begin to care about alignment.

    Let's not forget your upper ball joint is screaming in agony as we speak.

    No, I don't think it's okay. Stacking lifts is bad. You put a spacer lift on it when you could have just used the shocks to do the lifting, or gotten new springs. Your tires will hate you, and your steering/suspension geometry will make it drive weird. Oh, and with that much of a spacer lift, you run the distinct possibility of bottoming out your shocks before you hit the bumpstops, which would destroy them.

    But since you don't even care about basic things like alignment, there's nothing anyone can say to convince you otherwise. So I guess you do you.

    Yikes. Doubt Ive ever heard that from anybody else. Let alone anyone with some expensive Michelin tires.

    The difference between driving a properly aligned vehicle and one that isnt is mind boggling. Not to mention how much money you'll be throwing away on tires every year or two or less.

    I don’t think the 5100’s are designed for that much preload... do you have any down travel? Why not ditch the spacer and just put the clip on the top notch with your stock coils?

    Plus it looks like you’re hauling a fat chick around with you everywhere you go.

    Personally it's too high, I prefer the stocky look vs the tall skinny look. The word I'm looking for is I prefer voluptuous vs skinny.

    I totally agree here too. Maybe with a little less attitude :angrygirl: haha. Alignments are very important bro, care, care a lot! It's still a Tacoma though, make some adjustments, but you could own a Ford. 3 inch max with a very good alignment.
